Manufacturing

Designed and manufactured in-house.

Design, prototyping, manufacturing, testing and quality assurance sit under one roof, so a valve is controlled from the drawing through to the seat face.

The Soudarshini Valve manufacturing facility: CNC machining centre, grinding and lapping machines, and finished valve bodies on pallets The stores at Soudarshini Valve: bin racking of valve components under an overhead crane, with a storeman picking parts A lathe on the Soudarshini Valve shop floor The spot-facing machine at Soudarshini Valve The lapping machine at Soudarshini Valve

Infrastructure

The facility behind the product.

Design, manufacture, testing and inspection all happen in-house, on our own floor in Coimbatore.

20,000+ sq ft current facility
40,000+ sq ft held for future expansion
  • Modern machine tools: CNC machines and test benches available in-house.
  • In-house research and development facility.
  • In-house fire test facility for prototype valves, per the relevant norms.
  • Fugitive emission testing per API 641 and API 624; production testing per ISO 15848-2.
  • Digitally controlled hydraulic testing with QC equipment.
  • Cv testing: valves exhibit almost nil pressure drop across the valve.

From drawing to delivery

One controlled sequence, five steps.

In-house design with computer-aided design tools, working through to assured short delivery times and quick turnaround.

  1. DesignIn-house valve design with CAD systems and software.
  2. PrototypePrototyping to prove the design before production.
  3. MachiningPrecision machining of body, seat and trim.
  4. AssemblyBuilt up to the drawing, component by component.
  5. Test & QATesting and quality assurance before despatch.

Every valve, built in-house to perform with confidence.

Supply chain

Quality, reliability and traceability.

Our supply chain is built on quality, reliability and traceability. Being based in Coimbatore, one of India’s well established foundry and engineering hubs, gives us access to a strong network of experienced and dependable manufacturing partners.

We source our critical valve castings from internationally recognised foundries accredited to API 20A and API 20C. These foundries have proven capabilities in metallurgy, process control and quality assurance. The castings are then taken through established machining partners who deliver fully finished components to the required drawings, tolerances and specifications.

Working with this trusted network allows us to maintain close control over quality at every stage. From sourcing the casting to machining, inspection and final assembly, every component can be traced and monitored to ensure the consistency and reliability our customers expect from SERINO.

Plant and machinery

The equipment behind the geometry.

Manufacturing and testing run on machinery chosen for accurate, repeatable reproduction of seat and bore geometry.

  • Thread-whirling machine
  • Submerged-arc welding
  • TIG, MIG/MAG and PTA welding systems
  • CNC machining
  • Lapping machine for seat faces
  • Horizontal boring machine for seat boring
