Soudarshini Valve Private Limited (SVPL) is an API 6D licensed valve manufacturer based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Established in 2017, it designs and manufactures plug, gate, globe and swing check valves under its own brand, SERINO.
Valves are the critical component in any oil and gas, petrochemical, steel, power, refinery or pipeline infrastructure system. Each one has to be customised to the duty it will serve, in material, in design and in the way it will be operated. That is a matter of engineering judgement rather than catalogue selection.
Specialised manufacturing of this kind also demands experience. For over two decades the collective experience of the Soudarshini Valve management has served the industry with focused, integrated manufacture of proprietary API grade flow control products in India, delivering both individual components and turnkey solutions to process industries in Asia and the Middle East.
Our focus has never widened beyond flow control: valves, actuators and piping components. That single commitment is what lets us hold quality without compromise and still deliver inside a project schedule.
Our brand
‘SERINO’ means Peace, Tranquillity, a State of Calmness, the name our valves carry, cast into the body. The brand is owned and manufactured by Soudarshini Valve Private Limited.

Leadership
Mr. V.L. Sridharan
Managing Director
A mechanical engineer and metallurgist, Mr. Sridharan began in valve manufacturing in his twenties and has spent over five decades at the heart of the industry. He founded Econo Valves, India in the year 1981, a brand that shaped him as an entrepreneur. His experience spans the complete spectrum of the work: valve design, manufacture and marketing, metallurgy, surface engineering, heat treatment, machining, non-destructive testing, quality and international standards.
Over his career he has certified himself in various API ICP programs such as API 510, 570 and 653, and been an authorised ASME instructor for the inspection, repair and fitness-for-service of pressure equipment. He has trained several engineers on API and ASME standards. He is a founding member of the Chennai Chapter of the American Society of Materials (ASM) and the Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ISNT). He also served as Chairman of the ASM India National Council. He remains actively associated with the Indian Institute of Foundrymen (IIF), the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), the Indian Welding Society (IWS) and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE).
His credentials are not adjacent to the product; they are embedded in the quality system. At Soudarshini Valve, codes and standards are not just requirements to be met, but principles to be followed obsessively, with every valve manufactured to the letter and intent of the applicable standard.

He has travelled widely, attended international valve conferences and technical forums, and worked alongside valve experts, manufacturers, metallurgists and researchers across the world.
Visits to foundries, machine shops and manufacturing facilities internationally have let him study different technologies, processes and practices first-hand, exchanging knowledge with industry leaders and bringing global perspective back into his own work.

Even after five decades in the industry, Mr. Sridharan keeps himself abreast of the latest developments in valve technology, metallurgy, manufacturing and international technical standards, including API, ASME and ISO.
He also organises and takes part in heat treatment, metallurgy and materials engineering conferences and exhibitions, and keeps close contact with researchers and academics, including those at the IITs and other leading institutions.
For him, expertise is not a title earned once. It is a lifelong commitment to learning, sharing knowledge and staying ahead of an evolving industry.
